Nice Weather

The last few nights have really been nice. I've been sitting on the porch waiting for a hummingbird to come to our feeder. It was worth the wait. It seems they only come in the evenings. The female I think is a little camera shy because she never stays long enough for me to take a picture. Todd and the kids washed the truck. They thought it was more like play then work because they got to play with the hose. Todd got it a few times. After that was done they decided to have a water fight.
I got out of getting wet because I had the excuse of holding the camera. I told Todd "If you don't want to buy me a new camera you won't shoot at me." I was really wishing he would of got it wet and ruined it because I'm in the market for a new one. I'm leaning towards the Nikon d40x. I've been saving and now that I got a few babysitting jobs I can save a lot more faster. I can't wait.

4 Girls and a Lil' Guy

Thursday Zoie and I went to Grants Farm with our friend Jenny and her two kids. I haven't been there since I was a little girl so it was nice to go again even if I couldn't remember anything. The first stop was to see the Budweiser Clydesdale's. Then we waited in line to ride the tram thru the park where the wild horses, elk, buffalo, cows from around the world and other larger animals are. When we got off the Tram we went to the goat feeding area. After we got done feeding the goats we scrubed our hands and headed out to see the other animals. They have Kangaroos, Bald Eagles, Ponies, Camels, Llamas, Elephants and many more.It was a pretty tiring day. After Todd got off work he picked up Jeremy and met us at Craig and Jenny's for dinner. I left the house at 8:30 in the morning and pulled into the driveway at 8:40 that night. I was pooped.

Then Saturday we went out to Craig and Jenny's property for a day of relaxation. The guys took the 4 wheelers and us girls sat under the shade of the trees and watched the girls and guys play. It was a great day until on our way home one of the trailers tires blew. We made it home safe after we got it changed.

This week I don't plan on going anywhere until I catch up on my sleep. It's nice today so Zoie and I are going for a little walk. Cya!

Gifts for Mother's Day

I did this layout for all the things I got for Mother's Day. Todd and the kids had it easy this year. Saturday I mentioned we needed something for the front porch while we were sitting on the hard concrete. So Sunday he took me to the store to pick out some chairs. I really like the table because it is made where I can put a pot under it. Jeremy made me a flower out of the plastic six pack rings and we had a fried chicken dinner. We took a little cruise in the hoopty in the evening. I had a very nice Mother's Day.

Jeremy is getting published

Just a quick note to tell everyone how excited and proud I am of Jeremy. I got a letter from school saying the poem he submited is being published in 'A celebration of young poets' book. Very cool. I'm going to get this book but I can't believe it cost $25. Oh yeah, if you want to see his poem you'll have to buy the book. hehe!

Catch of the Day

We got to go fishing after dinner, just the kids and I. Todd doesn't do the fishing thing so he stayed home. Zoie fished for about 5 minutes and was off playing with the cats. She can't sit still. So I took over her pole and I caught a small bass but not before Jeremy caught the first one of the night. There was only a few more nibbles after that so we packed up and headed home. Everyone got a shower/bath and now are fast asleep. So I guess I'm going to get to bed too. 'night

Todd's newest Toy

A 1967 Dodge Polara. He is selling the mustang though. I don't have any current pictures yet, but I did find this one on google search.

It is gold with a black top and the interior is all black. It runs really good. Needs some minor work done on it like fixing the window motors, a few dings and a tiny itsy bitty piece of rust. For 40 years old it is still in excellent condition. The oringinal owners drove it until they were 90, died at 94 and it was put in a estate auction and the guy that bought it from that had it for the last 5 years. Now Todd is the proud owner. Zoie loves riding in it. We took it out 2 times already. It's such a smooth ride, like floating on air.

When Todd gets it back out of the garage I'll get some pictures and post again later. After I get some housework done Zoie wants me to take her fishing. It will be her first time.
