Let's Jump

Todd bought the kids a trampoline yesterday. Today he put it up with the neighbors help and the kids jumped well over a hour. We are sharing with the neighbors right now because they have grass and we don't. So they are letting us put it up in their yard for the time being. All the kids should sleep good tonight.Tomorrow Lisa (Todd's SIL) and I are taking Rebecca and Zoie to get their photos taken together. Lisa picked out the outfits and I haven't even seen them yet. So I hope she's got good taste. We do this every year for Todd's mom. I also am getting Zoie's 4 yr photos done too. I usually get Jeremy's and Zoie's done also but I think I'm going to cut that down to just once a year instead of twice. It gets too expensive.
Well I need to get my butt to bed. We have to be at the studio at 10 but we are meeting for breakfast before we go.

I'm a Winner

I got an email today that I won a $25 gift certificate from the Digi Chick Boutique. Woo Hoo! I did a layout using 2 of Sarah Jones kits and submitted it to her. I don't know how many others joined the contest. But this is just too cool none the less.
We got our Zoysia grass plugs on Thursday that we mail ordered. What a joke. We got about 13 sheets of these so called plugs. You would think that they were separate. NOPE! I had to cut them up into the little plugs. I lost feeling in my thumb (the tip is numb) and I have a huge blister on my finger from using scissors. I also have a muscle in my neck that's been hurting. I don't know how that happened. I haven't been able to sleep because it hurts too much. Aspirin doesn't seem to be working anymore. If it doesn't get better I guess I'll go see the doctor. We also got a screen door for the front door. It's really cool. The screen doesn't show unless you slide the one widow down. It rolls up inside the door when you close it.

Make a Wish

We had 28 people at the house Sunday. It was crazy. I'm saying never again, but I know that isn't true. Zoie got a whole bunch of new outfits, candy land board game and a fish (Beta) with a cool looking bowl with a light. She did get a play phone and she has been "talking" on it most of the day. I would hear her in a different room saying "Mom answer your phone." So I would have to pick it up and "talk" to her. She "talked" to everyone we know. I got a good preview of what she'll be like when she gets a real phone. Good thing was that she didn't get too many unnecessary toys.
Opening gifts.
Her fish named "Fishie".Modeling one of her new outfits.
Zoie and I had to go to the store and get some fish food and a net. Other than that we spent the day at home. Today was really nice so I put the house work on the side and we played. Got the 4 wheelers out and drove around for a little. Zoie and I used the side walk chalk paint on the driveway. That stuff is pretty cool. It doesn't leave all that chalk dust and it dries really fast.

The cleaning is done....

Today has been a great day for being Friday the 13th. I found this cute little store that has all that primitive decor. I was in heaven. Zoie wasn't too excited about it because there were no toys and she couldn't touch anything. I'm in love with that stuff. I've decided that's what I'm going to decorate the house in. I kind of started that style in the kitchen with not really knowing what it was. But now I know so it won't be to hard to find stuff for the other rooms of the house. I just wish I had more money. I need another fund jar. I have already started a new camera fund. The jars will get fuller once I get a job when Zoie starts school.
Well time for bed... 'night!

Happy Birthday Zoie

I don't know how I forgot to post yesterday. Maybe because Zoie got me all frustrated last night. We went next door so she could play with the boys and she threw a HUGE fit. So I had to listen to her cry and screaming at me because I made her come home and get ready for bed. So she's all better today. I just think she was totally tired, she didn't get a nap. So anyways, to the story of the day...
My little girl is 4 today. Where does the time go? Todd took today off so he could take Zoie to the store so she could pick out her birthday present. She got sidewalk paint and Pet Sitter Barbie. Sunday we are having everyone over for a party. She wanted a strawberry cake. Luckily they had a Strawberry Shortcake themed cake with little icing strawberries on top. We'll probably have about 30 people here. We haven't really had any big parties since we moved in the new house 8 months ago. This summer we plan on having a belated house warming party.
I got my hair cut today. I feel so much better. What was I thinking of turning to let it grow out. I have too thick of hair to do that. I need to take another shower 'cause I'm a little itchy and the stuff she put on it is gross feeling.

Happy Easter...

Zoie was really excited to see the Easter Bunny stopped by. She got a Diego stuffed doll, Charlotte's Webb DVD and some candy. Jeremy got some money. He's getting to the age where he's growning out of the make believe stuff. I got these cute outfits for the kids. I try to get something that they can where again. I hate spending money on clothes that the kids will only wear once. I plan on the kids wearing these outfits again for pictures. I think they will turn out great. We went to my Dad's for lunch and the kids had an egg hunt. I gave my niece and nephew the Happy Feet DVD and we watched that. It wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. I didn't care for it, but the kids enjoyed it. We stopped by Todd's parents because the Easter Bunny stopped by there too. And the neighbors two doors down got Jeremy a water gun and Zoie a bubble gun. That was really nice of them to do that. We have such great neighbors here. But that's another story for another day. I'm tired and I need to get to bed. It's early but we did to much running around this weekend and I need to catch up. 'Night.

Everyone (except me) took a nap

Jeremy and his friend stayed up until about 3 this morning. That's when I went down stairs and told them it was time for bed because they keep waking everyone up. They got up about 7. It paid it's toll on Jeremy because on our way to lunch/dinner with Todd's family he fell asleep and on the way home he fell asleep again along with Zoie. When we got home Todd, Jeremy and Zoie went back to sleep until about 8, a good 3 hours. I was about to take a nap too but decided not to because I would be up all night, I don't sleep good at night anyways.
While they were napping I got the easter goodies together. I still need to help the Easter Bunny hide eggs tonight. We are going to my Dad's for lunch. Then I have to run the kids by Todd's parents and the neighbor just informed us that the Easter Bunny may have left something for the kids at their house so we'll stop by there when we get back from his mom's.
We got to see Todd's Aunt (dad's sister) today also. Haven't seen her since last June at Todd's Grandma's funeral. It was good to see her again. We chat through e-mail, just don't get to visit too often.
Well I need to finish up some things before I go to bed.

Shoes are crossed off the list

I finally got around to getting the kids shoes. Zoie got this very cute pair of Skechers. Jeremy wanted a pair of Heelys but I could only find them on-line so they won't be here for a week or so. I even found me a cute little pair.

When I got home and told Todd we all got shoes, he asked "Where's mine?" How does he expect me to pick him out some shoes? He wouldn't like them anyways if I did.

One of Jeremy's friends is coming over to spend the night. It's a little late but they will have plently of time to play because they will probably be up past midnight. He has be bugging me to have someone come over. Jeremy's hoping Zoie is sleeping by time he gets here because he doesn't like her hanging out with him and his friends. There is a 7 year difference.

I need to finish up some laundry and pick the kitchen up. Time to give the computer a rest.

Nothing on the list got crossed off

I was supposed to go shopping for the kids shoes today. But I had to wait around for the septic tank guy to come. Waited all day and he shows up at 5:00. For the last month we've been having trouble with it backing up in the yard. Lucky of us it hasn't been too hot. We are fighting with the builder and the guy who put it in. The house is brand new and we only been living here for 8 months. Shouldn't need to be pumped out this soon.

Isn't that just lovely. Under the square piece of concrete is the septic lid and everytime I do laundry it bubbles up. GROSS! At least it's not coming back in to the house. Something better get done soon before summer begins or no one will be playing out back. And that's the reason why we moved, so the kids have a big yard to play in. There's no grass yet but there's room to run and be free.

We just got back from Todd's parents. We went over there after dinner for cake and ice cream to celebrate his mom's 60th birthday.

Tomorrow the kids and I are going shopping for shoes for sure. Zoie has out grown all of hers and Jeremy's is just getting worn.

Time for bed. I'm tired and I need to get Zoie off the couch. 'Night.

Dying Eggs

We dyed Easter eggs last night. One thing I would recommend is the Dudley's Spin an Egg. It makes dying eggs so easy and mess free. Just put a couple of eggs in, squeeze a few drops of dye on them, close the top and push down on the top until you get the effect you want. It took us less than 10 minutes to get a dozen eggs done. And all the cleaning I had to do was wash the container out.

Pretty Cool, huh?

Yucky Outside

Boy, today is totally different from yesterday. It is storming outside. Ugly clouds, heavy rain and strong winds. The storm is moving pretty quick so hopefully it will all clear up. Because I really need to go and get Jeremy some new shoes and Todd is supposed to go to the Cardinals game tonight. Easter break starts Thursday so I might just wait until then so we can take our time to shop instead of trying to get home before bed time.

I so need a haircut. I've had really short hair for the past 6 years. I'm trying to grow it out to see about getting a new style but I'm about to go crazy. I don't think I can hold out any longer. Short hair also makes my face look thinner and I like the clean look of short hair. I look like a big shaggy mess.

Play Time...

As promised, I took Zoie to the park. We did a little shopping and stopped for lunch first. It was such a beautiful day, the sun was shining and the birds were chirping. There wasn't any traffic noise. And we had the park all to ourselves. She really enjoyed the slide and totally HATED the swings. She never even liked her baby swing when she was little.
Can you see that look on her face? "Stop, I don't want to swing!!!!!" She's a little too big for the baby swing but she wanted to sit in it. I barely pushed her because I know she wouldn't like it. We stayed about a hour. When we got home she watched some tv and I finished up some laundry and straightened up the kitchen.
Now she is down for the night. I don't think she'll be up in the middle of the night because she really played hard today. It's time for bed for me also. 'night.
